A Deaf man, Sousa Camanguira, founded TV Surdo Mozambique, so that people who sign can access the current news through Mozambique Sign Language. He also hopes that hearing people in Mozambique will watch the channel as a way to learn sign language. TV Surdo Mozambique broadcasts a news program once a week.
